I am so looking forward to spending time with your child this year! Students will begin each class with a prayer and the reminder that “We are in the presence of God!” Students and I will be expected to act accordingly using the “Golden Rule” (treating others as you wish to be treated).
Students will be responsible for attending class with
1) Math text book
1) Math text book
2) Math binder(containing textbook, homework, notebook, and loose leaf paper)
3) Pencil and calculator
Homework procedure is as follows
· assigned everyday
· absent - check my web(blog) site for posted homework or call a friend
· without homework="BLUE" note sent home to be signed by a parent (and earn 0%)
· third time without homework will result in before school detention 7:45am the following day
Grades **Check Parent Portal often
· homework, class participation, quiz (every Friday)
· Midterm Exam ( Sept.- Jan. material – double weighted)
8th – Dec. 18 & 19 (Chapters 1 through 5)
· June Exam( Sept. – June material) – STUDY GUIDE , practice exam problems & web(blog)
· Any grade earned lower than 75% student must correctly “Re-Do” to raise grade but this must be on the back or attached to original graded paper and put into the Re-Do file the very next morning by 8:30am. All work must be shown for each corrected problem; no work = no credit. This is the student's responsibility; I will not remind or ask for Re-Dos
Extra Help
· every morning 7:45-8:10
· after school with prior appointment
