MIDTERM EXAM THIS WK!!

Please study the handout "study guide" for your midterm! Thursday and Friday-6th and 7th grade. Monday and Tuesday 8th. Study this wk so you can relax and be proud of yourself over Christmas break!!

Advent Service Monday!!

December already! This week our school will participate in Rachel's challenge. Miss Cohen and her team has worked very hard to bring this program to DeSales. Parents are invited to the evening presentation (7pm) at the Historic Palace Theater but unfortunately will not be able to attend the presentation at school during the day. This assembly will focus on positive influences and bringing the best out in each other. I know this will be a very worthwhile event. Middle school will have shortened periods so our assembly may begin at 10:30am. I look forward to spending the day with you and sharing our ideas!

Great Conferences--2nd Quarter here We come!

I so enjoyed talking to your parents. You are very lucky to have parents who sacrifice to give you a Catholic Education!! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Enjoy the break but remember midterms will be here very soon. Look back at your Sept. contract-6th grade=Dec. 13 and 14   7th grade= Dec. 13 and 14   8th Pre- Algebra= Dec.17 and 18

Fast 1st Quarter!

This quarter flew by very quickly. Your parents are invited, if they wish, to come to the gym this Friday. All middle school teachers will be available for 5 minute conferences beginning at noon but ending at 5pm.

I am looking forward to our Thanksgiving Mass on Wed. Nov. 21st. It is always very special!
During this beautiful Thanksgiving season, please remember to thank God for all the blessings he has given to you and your family!

Red Ribbon Week!!

It was a pleasure going on the field trip with the 8th grade Friday! Huge Red Ribbon Week begins Monday. Wednesday is Middle School Generation celebration Mass at 9:40. Please wear red and bring some canned goods to help St. John's Pantry. Friday is Middle School Halloween Dance!! Packed Week!!

Here we go! The next 5 wks enables you to have a huge opportunity  to improve your math knowledge and grade before report card conferences on NOV. 16. You are all doing well. Please remember to do your redos and hand them in the very next day!

I am so excited to be passing out your codes to access your math book on line. Please put these codes in a safe place. Your book has many helpful icons. Please use them! I am looking forward to seeing your Parents Thursday at 7pm for "Back to School Night"--We will meet in the gym and give your schedule to your parents to follow.

Great 1st few days!! I am looking forward to spending Wednesday with the 7th graders at Weona! Please use the pages on this blog to assist you with your math homework. I will be at the Home School Association meeting Tuesday night. Please, if you haven't already, have your parents introduce themselves to me. I so appreciate the students who have volunteered to help me at the meeting!! See you there!

What a Great Summer!!!

Hope you are enjoying this beautiful summer! I have been preparing for September. We will be using a new math book that each of you will be able to write in and take notes. It is a system loaded with many "helps". I know it will make math even easier! Enjoy your family time but please take 15 minutes a day to review your math. See you soon!

I have corrected the short answer word problem portion of the math exam. I was very pleased with how well each grade level did! Please continue and review and study. This Thursday afternoon you will be taking the multiple choice part of the exam. Take your time and check your work. Remember-NEVER LEAVE A BLANK!! May God continue to keep you focused and relaxed----If you study God will help you!!

Welcome back 8th grade!

All grades are now reviewing for June Exam. Friday June 8th during class time all grades will be given the word problem (12) portion of the exam. Thurday afternoon June 14th all students will be given 30 multiple choice section of exam. We will be reviewing during class time leading up to exam. Please study!!

St. Patrick and JUSTICE!!

What a great example St. Patrick has set for all of us on following the Golden Rule!! I am so proud of the many names on each classroom's hearts. You did a great job of paying forward the "chain of Love". Keep it up this month and remember to treat others the way you want to be treated!!
